Joan celebrated her 60th Birthday this August and one of the surprises I wanted to prepare for her included a “Sweets Table” for her guests to gather up goodies and take them away at the end of the night. I thought it would make for an attractive display and would be a fun project to undertake.
I found glass containers all over (everyone seems to have several) and there were some really pretty ones at a local Home Goods store for around $7 – $10 each. You can find these everywhere!
Next, I found candies in the color scheme for her party (red, white and silver). I used marshmallows for filler in the jars and little red and black take-out boxes for the guests to fill up. Here is the finished project! For all red candies I used Oh Nuts! because you can search their inventory easily online by the color of candy you are looking for. I found red and black jelly gumdrops, red pistachios and more! You find M&M’s in one solid color through their website and order just what you need!
Here is how everything turned out…
My inspiration? Pinterest of course.
