I have been working on a new book for women that will be released early this fall. It’s a book of courage, inspiration, risk, hope and overcoming obstacles. I am immersed in the proofing of the book right now and was recently reminded of that dreadful day we all remember – September 11. That was a horrific day for all Americans. It was also a day that because of the events, my business was drastically affected. I did pull myself out of it but it took a few years.
I was thinking about how it is human nature to become relaxed years after a crisis, which is a good thing. But we should always remember the great freedom we are afforded living in the United States. I am glad we get to fully celebrate this on the 4th of July. This week, in addition to enjoying family, friends, and fireworks . . . think about all the dedicated men and women who give of themselves and their lives so we may be free!
Happy 4th of July!
