It is very difficult for me to write my usual Monday Motivator as I am so saddened by the massacre that took place Friday at Newtown Elementary. I am a mother and a grandmother with 4 little ones ages 6, 7, 7 and 11. I cannot imagine the heartbreak of their community, family, and friends. I cannot conceive the grief of losing a child. I cannot picture what the children who survived that event are feeling. Most likely they will suffer post-traumatic stress as will the families.
So this week, I would love for all of us to offer up our daily works to a higher spirit in honor of the children, their families, and their community. We can give our very best this week at work especially as we wrap up 2012. I know many of you will be taking off extra days for the holiday. Please keep these families uplifted in your prayers. And as you sit around the table enjoying a magnificent holiday feast and cuddle up around the Christmas tree exchanging gifts and laughing, make sure you are in the moment. Soak in the love and warmth of family and friends. Love those around you and do something special for someone who is less fortunate than you.
This is truly the time of year and a national tragic event that we can wrap our lives and hearts around. Let us rejoice in life and offer hope to those who are suffering or lonely.
I wish you and your family a safe and happy holiday. This is my last Monday Motivator of 2012. I look forward to welcoming you to a New Year filled with hope, happiness, and taking you on an amazing BIG & BOLD journey in 2013.
My entire staff at Office Dynamics wishes you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
