If you think it’s still too soon to start planning your professional and personal success goals for 2015, I want to encourage you to think again! As quickly as this year passed, so will next year. Your future will become the present sooner than you think. If you don’t set success goals and map out a plan, you will be at the same place next year as you are today.
Considering how busy the holiday season gets, it behooves us to take time now – and not minutes or hours before the clock strikes midnight on December 31 – to give serious thought and meaningful consideration to what we hope to accomplish next year.

BIG Goals: Devise a Plan
I’ve encouraged you to set BIG Goals. The next step is to devise a plan. It’s not enough to set a goal or dream about something you want to come to fruition. You need a road map for reaching your destination.
Your plan needs to include:
The actions you need to take. For example, if my goal were to take my family on a vacation to Disney World, I would take actions such as: Time frames by which you will accomplish the various steps. You want to set target dates to keep you on track. You might fall a little behind once and a while but setting target dates is a huge step in keeping you focused. [Read more…]
